The THREE ways to IMPROVE your body scan SCORE.

WHAT IS THE INBODY SCORE?

The InBody Score is based on your body composition. As a general rule, a person in good health will score between 70 and 79 points.

The score will rise if someone has more muscle mass than average. Some bodybuilders have gotten over 100 points, but that doesn’t always mean that the person is healthier. Comparatively, someone with a very low fat mass (less than what is considered healthy) will cause the overall score to drop.

THE THREE WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE.
  1. Increase muscle mass.

  2. Decrease body fat.

  3. Increase muscle mass AND decrease body fat.

ONE: INCREASE MUSCLE MASS.

It's common to see results where people aren't overweight but their muscle mass is low (refer to scan below).

What should they do..? The best way to build muscle is through resistance training. One good tip is to build your legs. The biggest muscles are in your legs, so developing them will help you get better scan results faster.

TWO: DECREASE BODY FAT.

Sometimes we see that members have a high body fat mass (refer to scan below). If we work towards losing some body fat, the scan will give us a better score!

When it comes to losing weight, there are so many resources available that it might be overwhelming. Do not hesitate to contact one of our helpful staff members if you have any questions about how to get started with your weight loss journey.

THREE: INCREASE MUSCLE MASS + DECREASE BODY FAT.

This third option is just a combination of the first two. This is the quickest way to get a better InBody Score (refer to body scan below.) The "Body Composition History" on the scan below shows that Will has gained muscle while reducing body fat.

A better scan result isn't the only thing you should aim for; you should also strive to improve your overall health and self-esteem as well! You too can attain similar results as Will if you work on healthy eating habits and a consistent exercise routine!
